  1. I believe that God does not hate Hip Hop because within it, it mirrors those values in which God desires his people to have. Hip Hop illustrates the need for community and ability to help each other. Hip Hop shows togetherness and illuminates on the fact that everyone needs someone. Hip Hop mirrors the values in which the church is called to keep within their body. The church is called to love and to care and true Hip Hop holds true to loving one another and helping those who are truly in need of it. I believe God does not hate Hip Hop.

  2. The author of the article stated "if it is not of God it will not stand." Humm....let's see Hip-Hop has been around about 35-40 years now and has gained momentum in the past 10. The church can effectively reach out to its own congregation and those who are lost by using some methods and forms of the Hip-Hop genre. Quite naturally we are not endorsing the vulgarity and the negative aspects of the culture, though the good, the bad, and the ugly all stems from and are speaking to conditions of everyday life. Young people or the youth secure the legacy of a church because they are our future. However; church membership for young people has declined drastically because we have failed where Hip-Hop has prevailed! Hip-Hop knows no color, culture or ethnicity, it is in your face, it speaks out on topics that the church tip toe around or just do not want to deal with such as sex, homosexuality, poverty and other social injustices! The good news is, it's not too late to allow the young people and young adults of your congregation have a voice and aid you in this quest! Minister Cash-Money 09, you're at a great place in your walk and I applaud you and I agree with your comment!
